Brenau's Office of Research and Planning is seeking a Assistant Director

Minimum Qualifications: 
Education-  Bachelor's Degree.
Experience- Prior experience working in higher education a plus; must demonstrate proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and Access in particular (and SQL Server ideally).   Understanding basic principles of statistics and statistical software a plus as is experience with large databases.  Experience with exhaustive scholarship efforts (e.g., literature reviews) is also essential.   
Personal QualitiesMust present a high level of professionalism and discretion; present strong interpersonal skills; have a passion for the research process;  be able to work independently; assess employees' needs and react appropriately to their requests; have a strong desire to work with people; have excellent judgment regarding the prioritization of assigned tasks; be detail-oriented; have the ability to concentrate and deal with complex issues; have the ability to multi-task in an environment that can change daily; be committed to the core values and institutional mission. 
Responsibilities for the Office of Research & Planning:
  • collecting and responding to guidebook surveys
  • producing routine enrollment reports
  • collecting information from various locations on and off campus
  • updating departmental websites
  • supporting functions of the office, including campus surveys, peer analyses, etc.
  • performing literature (research) reviews
  • performing clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, etc.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Normal environment found in an office and/or educational setting. 
Work Hours: 
37.5 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.. 
Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
Some lifting and or carrying objects generally no more than 15 lbs. may be required. This position requires repetitive use of arms, legs, eyes and the ability to sit for extended periods.
Special Requirements:
This position requires that the employee hold and continue to maintain a favorable criminal history background.
