Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in Dance.  M.F.A. in Dance and college teaching experience preferred.


Duties and Responsibilities:  The Department of Dance is seeking Adjunct Instructors of Dance.  Courses to be taught may include: Ballet, Modern, Dance Composition II (M.F.A. preferred), Pilates Apparatus (Certificate required), Jazz, Tap.

 

Environmental and Working Conditions:
Normal environment found in an educational setting.

Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
May have to lift up to 10 pounds, when needed. Even though the weight lifted may be a small amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls. Job requires the ability to reach, handle, finger, feel, talk, hear, see, squat, and kneel.


Work Hours:
No more than 9 credits at one time. Generally Monday-Friday between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department.  

Special Requirements:
This position requires that the employee hold and continue to maintain a favorable criminal history background. In addition, all employees who operate university vehicles are subject to random drug-screenings.
