Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree with some prior experience in assessment in a higher education setting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate planning, evaluation, research, assessment, and reporting functions necessary to monitor progress and effectiveness in achieving the university's mission and strategic goals.
  • In collaboration with academic and administrative leaders, plan, design, coordinate, and monitor data collection and analysis, and disseminate information, reports, and interpretive analysis to support institutional planning and evaluations efforts, promote evidence-based decision-making, and improve overall institutional effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated capability in assessment theory and practice; advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design.
  • Experience in educational statistical analysis and use of statistical packages, database construction, and report writing.
  • Support administrative unit leaders in their assessment efforts; provide support for completion of annual assessment reports.
  • Facilitate post-planning with unit leaders to review assessment results, complete annual assessment reports, and planning for the next year.

 

 

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Normal environment found in an educational setting.

 

Physical Demands and Aptitudes:

Able to lift 10 pounds on a regular basis and 20 pounds maximum, periodically.  Even though the weight lifted may be a small amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls. Job requires the ability to reach, handle, finger, feel, talk, hear, see, squat, and kneel.

 

Work Hours:

37.5 hours per week. Generally Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department. The start date for this position is August 15, 2017.

 

Special Requirements:

This position requires that the employee hold and continue to maintain a favorable criminal history background.  In addition, all employees who operate university vehicles are subject to random drug­ screenings.
